Dr. Renee Fay-LeBlanc, Greater Portland Health's Chief Medical Officer, appeared on PBS NewsHour to discuss how the LePage administration's proposal to impose work requirements on Medicaid recipients would affect patients in Maine. If the proposal is approved by the Trump administration, MaineCare recipients would be required to work at least 20 hours a week, disclose financial and property assets, pay monthly premiums, and contribute $10 if they go to a hospital’s emergency room for non-emergency care.
