On Greater Portland Health:

  • Our mission as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is to provide the Greater Portland community with high quality patient-centered health care that is accessible, affordable, and culturally sensitive.

  • Greater Portland Health offers a sliding fee scale program and we accept Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurances.

  • We provide health services for our patients at ten locations throughout Portland and South Portland.

  • Greater Portland Health is a (501)(C3) organization guided by a 13 member patient-majority Board of Directors.

On Our Growth:

  • From 2016 to 2019, our patient number increased from 8,018 to 12,594.

  • From 2016 to 2019, our employee number increased from 74 team members to 116 team members.

  • In 2024, GPH serves 15,000 patients with over 200 team members.

On Our Partnerships:

  • Working with all 13 Portland Public Schools and the Riverton Community Center our Children’s Oral Health Program is able to provide dental service to children in the Greater Portland area.

  • Collaboration with Portland Public Housing allows us offer primary care services and reduce barriers to care for residents at Riverton and Franklin Towers.

  • Our partnership with Preble Street allows us to support Greater Portland community members experiencing homelessness and affected by substance use disorder (SUD) through our Medication Assisted Recovery Program (MARP).

  • Through our cooperation with schools throughout the Greater Portland area students are able to access primary care services directly at their educational location at our School Based Health Centers (SBHCs).
