We are happy to announce that Greater Portland Health has received a 2020 Direct Services Grant from the John T. Gorman Foundation. This grant will allow our Healthcare for the Homeless Program to continue to offer primary care, behavioral health care, medication-assisted treatment, and COVID-19-related services to Portland’s homeless population via in-person and virtual (telehealth) appointments.
"We are grateful to the John T. Gorman foundation for their financial support during the pandemic," said Ann Tucker, CEO of Greater Portland Health. "The funding will assist us in continuing to provide healthcare services in the Greater Portland community."
About The John T. Gorman Foundation:
The John T. Gorman Foundation works to advance innovative ideas and opportunities that improve the lives of Maine’s most vulnerable people. In recent years, the independent, statewide John T. Gorman Foundation has moved to focus strategically on four key areas: improving educational achievement for children; promoting successful transitions to adulthood for vulnerable older youth; helping struggling parents to support their families and enabling low-income seniors to remain in their homes as long as possible.
