On July 30^th and 31^st, Ann Tucker, CEO and Dr. Renee Fay-LeBlanc, CMO traveled to Washington DC to attend the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) Annual Conference and accept the Organizational Excellence Award on behalf of Greater Portland Health. The ACU is an association of clinicians, healthcare organizations, and advocates for the medically underserved with the common goal of improving the health of underserved populations. Each year the ACU selects award recipients to be honored at their annual conference. This year, we were very grateful to be recognized for our dedication to providing primary care, substance use, oral health, school-based health, homeless health care, behavioral health, and HIV and infectious disease services to underserved populations in the Portland area. Ann and Dr. Renee were also very appreciative of the opportunity to attend the ACU’s Annual Conference to meet and learn from other clinical leaders from across the country.
